Every spring we plant annual pastures and forage crops to feed our animals that are mixes of different plant species. In order to plant these seed mixes we need to set our planting equipment to distribute the seed evenly across the field. 

The machine we will use to plant our seed mixes is called a grain drill. In the YouTube video below I will show you what a grain drill is and how to use math to set the machine at the correct rate to plant the amount of seeds we want it to.
